My articles, from one community member to all

After 25 years in and around Leytonstone, and more chats than I could ever count, both in the clinic and out of it, I've come to realise something. Some of the most useful things I can share don't happen in an appointment at all. They happen when knowledge is shared openly, with anyone who needs it. That's really what these articles are for.

A lot of what I write comes straight from everyday life around here. I've got to know so many lovely people over the years, and I'm always happy to stop for a chat. Those conversations, along with what I see in the clinic week after week, show me what people are really struggling with. Stiff hips, aching backs, worry about staying mobile as the years go on, and the big question of whether anything can actually be done about it.

The same worries come up again and again, and these articles are my way of answering them properly. Honestly, simply, and without the hype. Sometimes I'll lean on the science and my years in the clinic. Other times, like with my own dodgy hips, I'll share what I've learned from going through it myself. Either way, my hope is simple. I'd love for you to come away knowing a little more about your body, and feeling a bit more confident about looking after it.

Thanks for reading.

Changes to how you book and get in touch

After testing the alternative carefully, and seeing it work well in practice, I’ve decided that from July, bookings and enquiries will be handled by a new, automated booking and reception system that connects directly to the clinic’s live calendar.

Making Osteopathy easier to reach

When people ask me who osteopathy is for, my answer is always the same: everyone. But for a long time I’ve been uncomfortably aware that “everyone” only really holds true if people can actually get through the door and for anyone living with a mobility challenge, that has too often been far from guaranteed.
